The Flower Route: Colonial Towns & Mountain Coffee
A route of approximately 36 km connecting colonial towns nestled among coffee-growing mountains: Nahuizalco, Salcoatitán, Juayúa, Apaneca, Ataco, and Concepción de Ataco. Cobblestone streets, hand-painted houses, murals by local artists, and some of the best coffee in Central America—all within an atmosphere that invites you to stroll at a leisurely pace.
How to get there
It is about a 90-minute drive from San Salvador along a mountain road. You can visit it in a single day or stay for one or two nights to enjoy it at a more leisurely pace—we recommend the latter if your itinerary allows.
